Keep in mind that this list is subjective. We’ve been to a lot of  amazing places in the Southeast and it’s hard to choose favorites.

I avoided listing some well-known destinations, such as theme parks, in  favor of more educational experiences and incredible places that may be less commonly visited.

You had me at alligators! The Everglades region is a unique ecosystem  with diverse and incredible plant and animal life – including lots of  alligators.
