Make Earth Day even more special for your kids or class with these fun free Earth Day color by number (and words!) worksheets. My kids love this day in general (more but I thought I would add some specific Earth Day worksheets to the plan of the day as a fun activity to practice math skills and number recognition.
This easy Earth Day Activity requires no prep and is best for K-2 Students. I love using them as part of the morning work or just as something to work on between other assignments.
Fun Earth Day Worksheets
Every April 22nd I’m browsing the internet for some free printables I can add to the lesson. Each holiday we love doing color by number printables (The Halloween ones are still hung up… oops!) but the ones available for Earth Day were a bit too easy.
The free printable Earth Day Color pack includes a page each of the numbers and words for your kiddos to practice their fine motor skills and knowledge with! Just pick the one most appropriate for your kids skill level – for example, kindergarten students might do best with practicing the # 11-17 vs adding and multiplying.
Let’s Color Some Sight Words!
There are two options for the Earth Day color by words – entry level sight words and some common digraphs (when two letters make one sound). If you’re looking to add sight word practice in a fun way, these will get the job done!
Let’s Hear It for Digraphs
Kids pick up sounds better when they’re having fun. So, I came up with the ‘digraph color by word’ printable. It introduces them to digraphs (two letters that make one sound) in a bright and colorful way. It makes learning digraphs as breezy as a walk in the park.
Double Fun with Math
Who said math can’t be fun? With our color by number sheets, learning doubles in addition and multiplication turns into an art project. Kids color, calculate, and have a blast all at once. It’s like watching math come alive in technicolor!
